Meeting Minutes- June 11, 2010 General Membership Meeting

The General Membership Meeting of the Corvette Club of Richmond was held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Chesterfield Social Services Building.   President, Rob Bickert called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.  Rob welcomed everyone to the meeting, and announced that the Round-Up was a success.  We had a very hot day but no rain for the event.  Rob also thanked all the members who worked to make this event a success.
Joy Bowman spoke to the membership about the 50th Anniversary Party and announced that at this time we have approximately 144 paid attendee’s.
Peggy Maloy, Recording Secretary read the minutes from the May meeting.  Corrections were noted and the minutes approved.
Mike Berg, Treasurer  read the report.  Treasurer’s report accepted as read.
Phyllis Robinson, Corresponding Secretary announced that get-well cards were sent as were flowers to members.  Phyllis also sent a get-well card to Barry Roper’s brother.
Sue Ann Bickert, Newsletter editor reported sending 31 newsletters out in the mail.  She also informed the membership there were still some rosters available on the back table for anyone who needed one.
Mann Duff, Webmaster announced the new updates and changes to the web site.
Bob Brody, Events Coordinator announced the upcoming events and asked the membership to please keep the sign-up books moving.
Earl Smithson, Vice-President welcomed seven visitors to the meeting and also invited them to the after meeting party.
Lori  Dolan, announced that she still has club t-shirts for sale with prices ranging from $16.00 to $18.00.  Linda Walker is still taking orders for club shirts and jackets.  There are hats with the club logo available and she is expecting visors in for the ladies, visors are expected to sell for $10.00 each.  She also still has window clings available.
Rob Bickert announced he met with Strosnider Chevrolet as they are interested in being a club sponsor.  Rob also reported he invited Strosnider to the 50th Anniversary Party.
Butch Jones announced he will be putting an article about the Round-Up in the upcoming newsletter.
Paul Murman has been contacted by a young lady who has old invoices for Vettes with the VIN numbers on them.  Anyone interested in obtaining one of these invoices should contact Paul for further information.
Earl Smithson, Vice President presented membership applications from Randy and Cynthia Beeson and Bob and Doris Calabrese to the membership.  The membership approved the applications.
Joy Bowman also announced that Wes Wolf has donated his $350.00 for the after meeting party expenses back to the club to be used for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The meeting was adjourned at:  8:49 p.m.
