JULY 9, 2010 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING RECAP The July General Membership meeting of the Corvette Club of Richmond was held at the United Methodist Center on Staples Mill Rd. President Rob Bickert called the meeting to order at 7:36 PM. The following committee reports were filed:
RECORDING SECRETARY: Peggy read the minutes from the previous meeting, correc-tions were noted and the minutes were approved.
TREASURER: The treasurer’s report was read and approved by the membership.
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY: Phyllis reported that no flowers or cards were sent since the June General Membership Meeting. She reported the club received a letter from Eddy Dowdy complementing CCR on the Round-up, stating that the show gets better every year.
NEWSLETTER: Sue Ann reported she sent out 31 newsletters. She also reminded the membership that newsletter articles are due by the 25th of the month.
WEBMASTER: Mann updated the membership on the website changes and answered questions from the membership.
HISTORIAN: Not Present.
EVENTS: Bob reminded the membership to keep the books moving. Lori Dolan spoke about Tubing on the James. Sue Ann told the membership about the “Bedford Beach Blast” on August 21, 2010, Sue Ann and Rob will OD this event. Bob reminded the membership that Corvettes at Carlisle is the end of August, currently this is not a club event but if anyone wants to OD a cruise to Carlisle, he will assist them.
VICE PRESIDENT: Earl welcomed our visitors, Bubba Carr, Terry Isgap, John Epperly and Stuart and Nancy Jackson. Membership applications from the following were voted on and approved by the general membership: Ken and Joan Peterson, Herbert and Deborah Pegram, Stuart and Nancy Jack-son and John Epperly. Rob inducted them into the club.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM
