CCR Club Banner Unveiled at the NCM

September 6th, 2010 · No Comments · Announcements, Events

By Barry Roper, NCM Ambassador
Each year in May the National Corvette Museum extends an invitation to corvette clubs around the country for participation in a display of club banners at the museum.  The event is one of many ongoing fund raising efforts for the non-profit ‘Gateway to All Things Corvette.’  This year there was availability for thirty-two club banners to be displayed individually on poles lighting the museum’s parking lots.  CCR seized the opportunity to highlight our 50th Anniversary milestone by designing abanner and making a donation to the NCR in our name.  The previous year’s banners come down and are replaced with the upcoming year’s ones on Labor Day Weekend annually, coinciding with the museum’s anniversary month.  The banner can be viewed on either the CCR or NCM websites.  Tentative consideration is being given for a club caravan to Bowling Green September 2011 to retrieve our banner as it is being retired and returned to CCR. Save the date!
