Update 10:15 PM - June 22nd 2007:
I have fixed the “Tiga theme” that was the style for the CCR site. The boxes on the side work now. It’s been a long week working with the website and I’m glad it’s back up and working. On the surface everything is back to normal, tho I’m still having minor problems here and there on the administrative side of the website.
Update 8:12 PM - June 20th 2007:
I have finally fixed the website in the least damaging way possible. From now on, anyone viewing our website with Internet Explorer version 3 up to version 6 (Version 7 is the newest one out) will get a separate page telling people to try the Firefox Webbrowser if they’re having problems with our website. I could never figure out why our website wasn’t working, and this setup doesn’t ruin it for people who use a Macintosh, Linux, or the Firefox web browser which works fine with our website. A small percentage of our members was having problems due to their old copies of Internet Explorer. This solution will help them out while not punishing the rest of our visitors with an inferior website design to satisfy Internet Explorer’s problems.
I am in the process of bringing our website back up to last week, with the theme, the color layout and other stuff that was turned off to work on this problem.

Update 12:18 AM - June 18th 2007:
I have been working on this all afternoon and for much of the evening. I have updated the WordPress blog system to version 2.2, and updated the website theme also to v1.0.1 from v1.0.2.
I do not know if this works for the people out there, but after searching for a replacement theme, I found out that the rest of the WordPress (what you see here) themes do not work anywhere near as well as the theme I had. All of the other themes I tried only had one sidebar, or weren’t very customizable. I was forced to stick with their ugly header image, or their tacky color schemes. I will not allow our website to look horrible because of a design flaw in Internet Explorer.
I have my previous color configuration on my backup server at home, and I will work on this monday after I get home from work. People who cannot view our website with Internet Explorer should convert to the FireFox web browser as soon as they can. You can get it at < www.getfirefox.com >. I will have some CDs with Firefox on it for people with dial up internet, who cannot download the program. Please email me < webmaster AT corvetteclubofrichmond.com > if you need a blank CD. The current Firefox web browser is 5.7 megabytes, which is about the size of some of our newsletters. It can be downloaded in 14 minutes if you are using 56k dialup (at least according to: http://www.onlineconversion.com/downloadspeed.htm). Please download it yourself if you are able to. If you are confused about how to download and install it, find a nearby teenager, they can do it for you. It is well worth the time. All of your Internet Explorer bookmarks are imported in to Firefox.
I still have some configuration settings to go through with our website to get it back to snuff. Hopefully I can be done with that by Monday night.
